The association’s National President, Ibeji Nwokoma, announced the suspension while speaking with reporters after the association’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Thursday.
Naija News reports that NAAT had embarked on the strike on 21 March 2022 to press home its demands which include the non-implementation of the FGN/NAAT 2009 agreement.
Other demands are the refusal to release enabling circular for the implementation of CONTISS 14 and 15 for academic technologists, and non-payment of the arrears of Earned Academic Allowances to members, among others.

Four Media Houses Under Lock In Zamfara For Covering PDP Rally
The Zamfara State Government has shut down four media houses, which include three television stations and an FM radio station for flouting the state government’s order. The state Commissioner for Information, Ibrahim Dosara, in a radio broadcast, said the affected media houses were closed for allegedly violating professional ethics.
He said the four media houses went against the state government’s order, which banned political rallies for security reasons.
Naija News gathered that the affected media houses however attended the rally organised by the opposition Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the state.
