Nnamdi Kanu Returns To DSS Detention After Meeting With Doctors
The leader of the separatist Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu was returned to the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) on Sunday.
This followed his release on Saturday for a consultation with his personal physician, as directed by a Federal High Court in Abuja on July 20.
The court dismissed DSS objections, granting Kanu’s medical access due to a suspected ear infection that might require surgery.

Six Nigerian Policemen Killed As Boat Capsizes In Bayelsa
Six Nigerian policemen have been confirmed dead after their boat capsized in Ijaw South Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The police officers were travelling ahead of the by-elections for the state assembly, which was held on Saturday in the state’s three senatorial constituencies.
State police spokesperson, Asinim Butswat confirmed the deaths to Channels TV on Sunday, saying the bodies of six policemen had been found.
There were 11 policemen in the boat at the time of the crash.
