Nigeria Immigration Ordered To Release Peter Odili's International Passport Immediately
The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, had ordered the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) to immediately release the international passport of a former Governor of Rivers State, Dr. Peter Odili. The judgement was delivered by Justice Inyang Ekwo, on Monday, Naija News reports.
Recall that Odili, who was governor of Rivers State from 1999 to 2007, had his passport seized by the NIS.
Ruling on the case brought before it by Odili, Justice Ekwo stated that there was no legal justification for the action the NIS took against the former governor.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has warned all its debtors to immediately begin repayment of their loans, else risk visitation by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for forceful recovery.
